Musicathon is Mid-Missouri Area Music Teachers Association’s (MMAMTA) only fundraising event. Your involvement will help local students receive financial support through MMAMTA Scholarships and other charities. The MMAMTA scholarships will help fund summer music camps or college education for students, and in addition, local charities like the Samaritan Center (JC) and TBA (Columbia) receive a portion of the funds raised.
There are three main ways to get involved:
All the options allow you to meet the talented musicians in our community.
Memorization is optional and all styles of music may be performed.
Please contact our chairs if you would like to participate as a performer.
Chairs:
Andrew Weir (Columbia)
Jan Houser (Jefferson City Chair)

Past Event
COLUMBIA MUSICATHON, Feb 25 (Sat), 11am-5pm
This is the only fundraiser there is to support the music scholarships for the summer camp participants. Many students benefited greatly from the past summers! Let's keep supporting our community music students.
Musicathon doubles as a friendly run-through for your Federation program, and just overall sharing of the music. I encourage memorization for Federation music, but you are welcome to bring any additional music to just read or have fun making music.
ALL instruments are welcome!
What to do:
1. Use this GoogleDoc to sign-up.
2. Let's do a bake sale: If you have (bags of) cookies you could donate, let me know.
3. Purchase a raffle ticket to win a gift basket including a $100 Amazon gift card! (More details of its content will be shared closer to the event.)
Cash/checks only, payable to "MMAMTA."
*While MTNA is a non-profit, we regret MMAMTA is unable to issue tax receipts.
Mail to: Ayako Tsuruta, 2713 Burrwood Dr, Columbia, MO 65203.
